Understanding Time Differences
A time difference is the gap between local clock times at two locations. World Clock compares your device time with a selected city and displays the current difference.
How the difference is calculated
Each location has a current UTC offset. Comparing the current offsets gives the number of hours and minutes between local clocks, including zones with 30-minute or 45-minute differences.
Why the result can change
A time difference can change when daylight saving time begins or ends. Differences can change temporarily when two locations move their clocks on different dates.
Planning calls across time zones
Check the local time, date and time difference before planning an international call. Select either 12-hour time with AM and PM or 24-hour time, and World Clock applies that choice to the main clock and all results.
Countries with multiple time zones
A country may have several local times. Search for a country to view live clocks for multiple cities, or select a specific city for a precise comparison.
Try it
Open World Clock, search for a city or country and compare its live local time with your own.
