About World Clock

World Clock at whatsthetime.org is a fast world clock, time zone finder and current weather tool. Search for a city or country to view local time, compare it with your device time, open a location map and check current weather conditions.

Choose 12-hour or 24-hour time

The main clock and all city and country results can be displayed in either 24-hour format or 12-hour format with AM and PM. Your choice is saved on your device so the same format is used when you return.

Search cities and countries

Search for an individual city to see its live local time and the difference from your current time. Search for a country to view live times for several relevant cities, which is especially useful for countries that span multiple time zones.

Time zones, UTC, GMT and daylight saving time

World Clock uses named regional time zones instead of relying only on fixed UTC offsets. This allows displayed local times to account for regional time rules and current daylight-saving changes.

Live time differences

Each selected city shows the current local time and its difference from your device's local time. The clocks continue to update on screen, making the tool useful for planning calls, travel and international events.

Weather and maps

Search results include shortcuts to a location map and current weather. Available weather details include temperature, apparent temperature, humidity, wind speed and whether it is currently day or night at the selected location.

Light and dark mode

The interface includes light and dark display modes. The chosen theme is stored on your device for your next visit.

Privacy

The site uses functional local storage for preferences such as display theme, time format and the last selected location. These settings help the site remember how you prefer to use the clock.

Why World Clock exists

The aim of whatsthetime.org is to make world time information quick and easy to use without unnecessary screens. Search once to see the local time, time difference, map and weather information you need.
